Happy Birthday Ja Rule!

Leap day only happens once every four years and, oddly enough, so does Ja Rule's birthday. According to our count, he will be celebrating his 9th year of life today....in prison. Luckily, Mr. Rule does not waste time, and continues to make hit jamz whilst being incarcerated. His new album PIL 2 hit the shelves yesterday, and once Ja is free again he's planning to go on tour. Go Ja! Thus, we make our tribute to the wonderful Jeffrey Atkins with a post full of nine fun facts about him.

1. He is currently in prison for gun possession and tax evasion and is taking courses to get his GED. His jailmates recommend he takes up studying business upon his release.
2.  He is married to Aisha Atkins [whom he started dating in middle school] and has three kids, Brittney, 16, Jeff 2nd, 11, and Jordan, 8.
3.  He was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness.
4. Ja had started his own poker website called starsonpoker.com
5. There are currently 27 songs where someone is talking beef about Ja Rule
6. Ja Rule's song 'Father Forgive Me' samples The Beatles' 'Eleanor Rigby'. Strangely.
7. Rumours have it that Charli Baltimore had ghost written some of his jamz.
